Cancer Awareness

Guardians learnt about Cancer at a training held on October 1st, 2011 at Full Gospel Church, Kawangware. The training facilitated by Joshua Onmwong’a Getate, a specialist Cancer Doctor at Meridian Medical Center in Nairobi, enclosed deeply on cancer awareness and handled one on one cancer related questions from guardians. The training caught the attention of guardians with tremendous expectations of getting to the bottom of frequently asked questions about cancer.

Staff Barbecue at Fisherman’s Camp

This year’s last staff outing ensued on September 30th, 2011 at Fisherman’s Camp in Naivasha. The drive to Naivasha through the Mai Mahiu winding route and scenic great Rift Valley comprised of two detours at the Great Rift Valley View Point, and by a 12 man Catholic Church built in 1942 by Italian Prisoners of War (POWs).

Youth and Preteens Concert

An exciting youth and preteens concert took place on September 24th, 2011 at CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. Kenya Youth For Christ ministry ministered to 16 youth & 45 preteens through dances and jokes that left many with their mouths wide open. The team also shared their testimonies and a sermon from Erick Kibigo on “Sexuality”.

Follow Up and Discipleship One Kick Off

This year’s Follow Up and Discipleship One programs started on September 23rd, 2011 at CCP’s Community Center, Kawangware. Eleven believers attended the event out of which six new believers were introduced to Follow Up, a program that helps new believers be sure of their salvation and be established in their Christian faith.
